The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." - Pablo Picasso The problem with most violin lessons for kids - and indeed why many children hate playing the violin - is twofold. The first part of the 'problem' is that the violin is a very sophisticated instrument to learn, because of the many different forces and gestures that are in play at the same time. The second problem is that the only way to counter the first problem is to remain incredibly creative, and always to maintain a natural curiosity that can't help but engage you with finding creative solutions. Introductory Workshop: Learn to play the violin in just 3 hours at my introductory workshops! A great 'quick-start' for beginners, OR a refresher for advanced violinists.
Workshops take place in Pimlico or King's Cross on the 1st Saturday morning of every month (9.30-1.30pm).
Group Lessons: Improve your knowledge, meet and learn from other violinists, and practice playing together with other musicians at the group violin lessons! Suitable for anyone who's already done the Introductory 'Fundamentals' workshop.
